Um lugar surpreendente para conhecer em Manaus

A região de Manaus é um dos lugares mais belos que conhecemos. A natureza é exuberante e surpreendente. Uma prova disso é o Encontro das Águas que ocorre na confluência entre o Rio Negro (de água escura) e do Rio Solimões (água barrenta).  São 6km de extensão em que esses rios correm um ao lado do outro sem se misturarem.

Esse fenômeno ocorre praticamente por três fatores, a diferença de temperatura, que no Rio Negro é de 28° e o Solimões é de 22° graus, a densidade das águas e também pela velocidade das correntezas, 2 e 4km/h a 6km/h, respectivamente.

Meeting of Waters – Brazil

The region of Manaus, is one of the most incredible places that we know. The nature is exotic and astonishing. An example of that is the Encontro das águas (meeting of waters) that happens in the confluence between the Negro River (dark water) and the Solimões River (muddy water). There are 6km of extension in which these rivers run side by side without mixing.

This phenomenon occurs due to three factors, the temperature difference, which in Rio Negro is 28 ° and Solimões is 22 ° degrees, the density of the waters and also by the speed of the currents, 2 and 4km/h to 6 km/h respectively.
